Julia’s tour diary
Julia Maria Jochheim, VIP attendant, supporter and good soul at ABBA THE CONCERT reports here exclusively about the tour life between tour bus, stage and backstage. Take a look behind the scenes!
Every day in another city, every day in a new environment and always new experiences …
We arrived in the afternoon as usual in the hall.
The crew was in the last trains of the building a relatively small stage for this evening, so it was clear to everyone: tonight it will be tight!
13 musicians, the instruments, the microphones, podiums, boxes and a 20-head children’s choir – everything wanted to find its place! This also belongs to this – you have to be flexible and always adapt to new situations! Also the way behind the stage, from one side to the other was this time very angled and long, so was during the show for Benny, Bjorn, Frida and Agnetha also times a sprint through our catering kitchen backstage announced! But this is also part of it!
The audience was exhausted and did not let the space before the stage go unused. The first row of seats was quickly ignored and everyone went with them – the party just before the stage went off! And we say: we like to celebrate with you again next year! Thank you!
Paderborn, Sportzentrum Maspernplatz
We drove again at noon to Paderborn, where we first checked in the hotel and then went to the sports center Maspernplatz.
There we found our crew visibly exhausted, as they unloaded our entire 30 tons of material over a steep ramp and got a good sweat. But, of course, everything was on time for the soundcheck! The Paderborner were a very loud audience, which was very happy! Already at the intro was greeted and loudly clapped and it promised to become a stirring show! This impression also proved itself and it was a great party with you!
osnabrück, Osnabrueck Hall
At noon we drove from Papenburg to Osnabrück. We arrived on time so the artists still had the rare opportunity to eat ice cream in bright sunshine. In the hall was already finished as well as everything and it was only at last finesse gewerkelt. At the Soundcheck everything ran fine and so Stefan, our man at the sound, could quickly be OK.
It was a nice show with you in Osnabrück, we will come back very gladly!
Until next time!
